In recent weeks, multiple OEMs in the automotive space have announce the path towards ramping up electric vehicle sales as part of their portfolio offering.
- Ford Motor Company has announced to go fully electric in Europe with vehicles built on the Volkswagen MEB platforms in the Cologne factory.
- General Motors has communicated the ambition to ramp up electric vehicle share to 100% by 2035, excluding heavy duty models above 6.000 pounds (2.7t).
